I have always been fascinated by the power of the internet and social media. I grew up before Facebook, and saw the arrival of the internet and of one of the first social media platforms; MySpace. I embraced these new digital spaces, as soon as I had my first social media profile I was totally hooked. I loved how clicks behind a screen could make you feel connected to another person.
Fast forward to 2017, I had been working as a diving instructor in Melbourne and completely fell in love with the underwater environment here. As someone from the UK, I was so shocked at how these natural wonders were right on my doorstep next to one of the biggest cities in the Southern Hemisphere. Most people from Melbourne don’t even realise how lucky they are.
I took to Instagram to post my own photos and to see what else was out there. I started my own #melbournescuba tag and grew it from there. Eventually, I accumulated 3000 followers. I loved it. I loved how a few taps on my phone could help people fall as madly in love with Melbourne’s marine life as I had done.
I started working for a Dive Travel Consultancy, Dive Adventures. I took the lessons and experience from Melbourne Scuba and incorporated it into my role. I began working as their digital marketer, initially as a social media manager. Then eventually as their Web Designer and Marketing Coordinator.
Today my enthusiasm for digital marketing is only growing. I want to help people make their own projects, businesses, charities and organisations flourish. And in 2020 the best way to do that is by having a kick-ass online presence.
Every business needs a website to reflect them, and each business is as unique as the person behind it. And the marketing strategies for that business need to be tailored perfectly. That is what I am all about, helping you find what works for your business. I want to see you grow.
